Check Run
Recent updates to Check Run bring a mix of new features, bug fixes, and improved data validation. A notable addition is the ability to make the Posting Date field read-only when the Set Payment Entry Posting Date setting is configured to use today's date, preventing accidental modifications to payment scheduling. Mandatory fields for Company, Bank Account, and Payable Account have also been introduced in Check Run Settings, ensuring all required information is captured before proceeding with check runs.
On the bug fix side, an issue where the settings date configuration was not being respected has been resolved, giving users more accurate control over date preferences. Additional fixes address a problem where non-check Payment Entries were incorrectly appearing in print views — now only check payments are displayed. Users can also validate Bank Accounts and account numbers prior to generating NACHA files, with descriptive error messages to help diagnose any issues encountered during validation. Test coverage for posting date configuration in Settings has also been expanded to support these improvements.
Electronic Payments
The latest update to Electronic Payments focuses on improving payment gateway support and modernizing the development toolchain. A key fix adds proper support for the Authorize.net production endpoint, with the endpoint field in Settings now marked as required and automatically pre-populated with the sandbox endpoint in test environments. This ensures a smoother and more reliable transition between testing and production configurations.
On the infrastructure side, the project has been updated to Poetry 2.0, with refreshed pre-commit hooks, added coverage reporting, backport configuration, and override-tracking workflows. These changes improve the overall reliability of the development and release process without affecting end-user functionality directly.
