Inventory Tools

The latest release of Inventory Tools (v15.9.2) addresses a notable bug in the Material Demand workflow where clicking the "Create PO" button was generating duplicate Purchase Orders. This fix ensures that procurement processes remain clean and accurate without requiring manual cleanup of redundant records. Additionally, all custom DocType JSON files have been refreshed, and a code-duplication workflow that was causing continuous integration issues has been removed, improving overall development stability.

Test Utils

Test Utils has seen a significant wave of updates across multiple releases, with a strong focus on improving the partition management utility. Recent versions introduced phased partition population to handle large datasets in stages, added a scheduled partition field population hook, and incorporated support for partitioning via pt-online-schema-change (pt-osc). Additional enhancements include index creation support, ensuring the name column is indexed during partition creation, adding Payment Entry (PE) partition support, and introducing retry logic with parent-already-processed checks to make the utility more robust and reliable.

Several bug fixes have also landed across these releases, resolving issues with non-partitioned tables being incorrectly processed, a partition index bug, a bug in the _populate_with_time_limit function, and cleanup of the DOCTYPE_DATE_FIELD_MAP along with unused code removal. On the quality-of-life side, the default value for posting_date on child DocTypes is now automatically set to today's date, and a code duplication detection GitHub Action has been added to help maintain code quality going forward.
