Approvals
Recent updates to the Approvals application have focused on improving audit visibility, workflow correctness, and rule management. Documents now automatically generate comments whenever an approver is added or removed, creating a clear and visible audit trail of approval changes. Approvers also receive a notification when they are added to a document's approval workflow. Additionally, cache-busting support has been added to ensure the Vue-based approvals interface always reflects the latest build without requiring a manual cache clear.
Document Approval Rules have received several enhancements as well. The condition field now validates Python syntax before saving, and a dry-run option allows administrators to test whether a rule would apply to a given document without committing any changes. Error messages have also been improved to provide clearer feedback when conditions fail to evaluate correctly.
Check Run
The Check Run application has received several improvements focused on data integrity and usability. The Positive Pay feature now includes an amount field, providing more complete payment data in generated files. Nacha file generation has been updated to ensure unique Payment Entries, eliminating potential duplicates and improving overall data integrity. Additionally, the select-all option has been restored and an on-hold filter has been added, giving users more flexibility when managing payment runs.
Electronic Payments
The Electronic Payments application has seen meaningful improvements to both the payment dialog experience and multi-company portal support. The payment dialog now auto-fills the party's billing address and email when a new payment method is created, both on the desk and portal sides. Save-only and save-and-process options are now available when adding a payment method on the desk side, and the primary action button label updates dynamically to reflect the selected action.
Multi-company portal behavior has also been refined. When a customer adds a new payment method through the portal, it is now associated with all companies with Electronic Payment Settings configured to accept payment (or send payments for suppliers). Account fields in Electronic Payment Settings are filtered by company, which helps the user avoid errors linking to an account associated with a different company in the system, and the Customer ID is now retrieved from the Electronic Payment Profile rather than from the Customer or Supplier record directly.
