Check Run

Recent releases bring significant improvements to invoice management and payment workflows. On-hold invoices are now correctly excluded from preselection during payment runs, preventing unintended payments and giving users greater control over their payables process. The Check Run UI has also been updated to clearly indicate when Purchase Invoices are on hold, and a "select all" option has been restored alongside a dedicated on-hold filter for easier navigation.

Several new features round out this release cycle. The Example Voucher MICR print format is now based on Payment Entry, and users can optionally display days past due instead of the due date in the selection UI for clearer deadline management. Check Run Settings now supports a quick entry override, and an option has been added to automatically attach Positive Pay reports upon Check Run completion. Users can also configure whether cancelled Payment Entries are excluded from checks, and filter improvements provide a more refined payment selection experience overall.

Electronic Payments

Electronic Payments has expanded its provider ecosystem and deepened its integration with Check Run. Mercury has been added as a sending payment provider, with the Mercury API fully integrated and Wire payment method information stored on Recipient records. Wise has also been added as a sending provider, complete with Wise API integration, batch group transfer support, and dropdown-limited fields for state, country, and account currency. The settings document now cleanly separates sending and accepting provider configurations into distinct sections, and the Authorize.net integration has been updated to use the official SDK.

Check Run integration has been further strengthened: when a Check Run is submitted with an electronic payments mode of payment, the system automatically loops over the related Payment Entries and dispatches payments to each party. Additionally, a new enable_accepting checkbox in Electronic Payment Settings conditions accepting-related fields on its state, and Account ID validations have been moved to the on_update hook to provide informational messages rather than blocking errors.

Test Utils

Test Utils has reached its v1.0.0 milestone, bringing several meaningful additions. A GitHub Actions workflow and pre-commit hook have been introduced to generate AI-assisted changelog entries for pull requests using the Anthropic API, with configurable model, token, and temperature parameters. The project has also been upgraded to Poetry v2, and a track_overrides GitHub Action and pre-commit hook have been added to support customization validation workflows.

On the data management side, a populate_partition_fields_for_existing_data utility has been added to backfill partition fields in child tables, and create_partition has been updated to create partitions per DocType starting from the first year with existing data. The partition helper now includes the DocType name in partition names and logs each partition as it is created. Python 3.13 is now officially supported, and documentation has been expanded to cover both the partition helper and customization validation workflows.
