Approvals
The Approvals application received documentation additions, with new docs merged as part of the 15.4.0 release. A translate documentation workflow file was also added to support internationalization efforts, laying the groundwork for broader language support.
BEAM
BEAM saw productive development across multiple fronts. A bug fix addressed a default value being set at the wrong lifecycle stage (moved from schema to creation), and mobile repack tests were added — both landing in the 15.8.1 release. A new beam_barcode_resolver hook was introduced in 15.9.0, and a bypass flag was added for recombine Handling Unit workflows in 15.10.0. Subsequent work continued on shipping test infrastructure, including improvements to pytest ordering by file, normalization of that ordering, and a fix to ensure auto barcode generation works across all Document Types. Department field updates and ongoing branch integration work for the mobile and shipping test suites rounded out a strong period of development.
Check Run
Check Run development centered on expanding the application's accounting capabilities. New features include a Sales Tax Payable workflow, logic to ensure only accounts marked as payable include a party, and sensitivity for accounting dimensions — all accompanied by new tests. Additional work-in-progress commits addressed Payment Entry saves, setup scripting for submitting Sales Invoices, and handling of tax payable due dates, indicating active feature development heading into the next cycle.
Cloud Storage
Cloud Storage received a series of improvements. Initial fixes addressed file preview functionality and hash checks for duplicate file names, landing in release 15.9.3. Subsequent work improved the filename display in File Preview, added 3D model preview support, and cleaned up the preview UI by removing an emoji. Tests were added to cover scenarios without S3 storage configured. A cleanup effort also removed post-migration customization logic, keeping the codebase leaner.
Communications
A public calendar previously maintained elsewhere was ported into the Communications application, consolidating calendar functionality within the app.
Electronic Payments
Electronic Payments received several maintenance and quality improvements. The Authorize.Net dependency was switched to a community fork, with the Poetry lock file updated accordingly. Network diagrams were added to the provider documentation, and a customize.py file was removed as part of a cleanup effort. Two separate refactoring passes addressed code duplication — one on the Python side and one targeting JavaScript — improving the overall maintainability of the integration layer.
Fleet
Fleet activity focused on test reliability and a documentation update. Fixes were applied to Department naming conventions and lookup logic within the test suite, and name and index keys were restored where they had been missing. These changes culminated in the 15.2.0 release, reflecting the stabilization work completed.
Inventory Tools
Inventory Tools shipped three releases. A quarantine-related bug fix landed in 15.10.1, followed by type improvements and better tracking of overrides in 15.10.2. The 15.11.0 feature release optimizes the Warehouse Plan and adds a default value to the application settings, improving out-of-the-box usability.
Kenaf
Kenaf saw a mix of documentation, new tooling, and dependency updates. Documentation was added, followed by the introduction of Nuitka support for compiled Python builds. Dependabot contributed several dependency upgrades, including bumps to Quart, Quart-CORS, Uvicorn, and Argon2-CFFI, keeping the project's dependency tree current and secure.
Shipstation Integration
Shipstation Integration had an active development periods, spanning packing workflows, LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight support, and new carrier integrations. On the packing side, a minimal UCC-128 barcode implementation was completed, packing slip enhancements were added, and the packing workflow was documented. LTL support was a major theme: work included refactoring to a base LTL class, adding insurance fields and sections, building out Bill of Lading (BOL) API support, and writing comprehensive tests and documentation for LTL configuration and workflows — all merged in PR #87.
A new Freight Carrier Settings Document Type was introduced with accompanying tests, and initial integration work began for 17track, including a new webhook, seed data, and foundational tests. Development closed with new API builds for WWEX, ODFL, and Banyan carriers, along with pre-commit and formatting housekeeping.
Test Utils
Test Utils shipped four patch releases (1.20.1 through 1.20.4). A headline addition was a retrospective changelog generator with optional Ollama (local LLM) support, enabling automated changelog production from PR history. Additional fixes addressed path resolution, ignored patterns in method filtering, file validation and writing, and a percentage calculation error. Membership analysis was replaced with a more robust segment analysis approach, reflecting ongoing refinement of the testing and reporting utilities.
