Autoreader

Autoreader's initial v15.0.0 release introduced a robust deduplication system featuring configurable RapidFuzz matching parameters, field weights, and scoring options on a per-company and per-Doctype basis. This system also supports optional processing functions for specific field types, depending on whether the field is a number, currency, or text. Matching rules can be configured to match text (numeric fields are treated a strings), to be within a given percent for numbers or time delta for dates, or to convert currency, numbers, or dates into words then match. Users can also run a new background report to scan for duplicates for a configured doctype. Test data setup was also improved with named Payment Terms Templates, and an HRMS dependency compatibility issue was resolved.

Autoreader v15.0.1 brings important CI and bug fixes to the version-15 branch. The CI workflow has been updated to properly handle dictionary objects in the validate_customizations script and to enable automated tag and release creation for main branches. Additionally, a deduplication scoring option that returned an incompatible result compared to other scoring options has been removed, resolving errors that occurred when that scorer was selected.

Check Run

Check Run v15.1.1 delivers several notable improvements across testing, security, and core functionality. File download access for bulk ACH downloads has been restricted to specific roles, enhancing security around sensitive financial files. A typing issue with the Bank Account field has been corrected, Cypress tests have been replaced with a more maintainable test suite, and CI configuration has been updated to improve reliability.

Beyond the versioned release, several Pull Requests have introduced meaningful new features. A workflow to track overrides for Payment Entry has been added, along with a new "Allow stand-alone debit notes?" field that controls whether users can create Debit Notes independently — hiding the is_return checkbox on Purchase Invoices when disabled. Documentation and tests for returns against Purchase Invoices in a Check Run have also been added, and a previously missing supplier bank field has been restored.

Cloud Storage

Cloud Storage v15.1.0 focuses on improved developer experience and code clarity. The File override class has been renamed for greater descriptiveness, and the project's dependency management has been migrated from pyproject.toml to Poetry, complete with a poetry.lock file for reproducible builds. CI tooling has also been enhanced with coverage reporting and updated linting configuration.

The preceding v14.4.1 release addressed a URL encoding bug in the get_content function, ensuring that file URLs containing special characters are handled correctly. Additionally, the version-15 test suite was established during this period, incorporating fixes for the delete file test, the addition of Frappe Black to CI, and Redis configuration for the test environment.

Electronic Payments

Electronic Payments v15.0.0 marks the application's initial release on the version-15 branch. This release includes comprehensive updates to bring the application in line with version-15 requirements, including updates to order pages, installation routines, and handling for maximum field length limitations. A new test suite has also been introduced, covering both payment sending workflows and common processing functions.

On the version-14 side, v14.3.1 fixed an issue to show the user the amount to pay, which wasn't being set if no default payment method were present. The v14.3.0 release added Self Service Payment Methods where a customer or supplier can manage payment methods via the portal. The release included support for "billed per agreement" in Shopping Cart checkout, where the payments due on an invoice display based on the invoice's payment terms, including discounts and multiple terms. Finally, the release added the ability to send Electronic Payments to suppliers via Authorize.

Test Utils

Test Utils v0.3.0 introduces two useful enhancements for development workflows. The validate_copyright utility has been upgraded to function as a pre-commit hook, making copyright validation easier to enforce automatically. Item and Item Group fixture builders have also been added, expanding the available test data tooling.

Earlier releases in the v0.2.x series addressed several foundational issues. Customization sync was corrected to include HRMS customizations only when HRMS is actually installed, and the codebase was restructured to separate pre-commit, CLI, and one-time utility functions into a shared customize.py module. A CI workflow for building and publishing the project wheel was also introduced alongside a fix for the package name.
