Approvals
Version 15.2.0 brings a meaningful improvement to the approval workflow: rejected requests now require a rejection reason, which is recorded and displayed in the document's approval history. This ensures greater accountability and transparency throughout the approval process. The project has also been migrated to Poetry for dependency management, with updates to pre-commit hooks and backport configurations.
On the version 14 branch, version 14.2.3 introduces several notable enhancements. A new validation layer has been added to the condition field in Document Approval Rule, helping prevent errors before they occur. Rejection notifications have been improved with a dedicated rejection user and fallback support, and a backported reminder email feature now sends scheduled reminders for pending approvals using a configurable hour interval. Additionally, a fix ensures that Document Status is properly checked for submittable documents, and the client script requirement has been removed to simplify setup.
BEAM
BEAM version 15.3.1 delivers a targeted fix to the devcontainer initialization script, ensuring that branch selection specified in the devcontainer configuration is correctly respected during setup. This resolves an inconsistency that could affect development environment initialization.
Recent prior releases (v15.3.0 and v15.2.0) added the ability to define per-item handling unit configurations directly within BEAM Settings, applied automatically during document processing. A full devcontainer setup using Docker Compose was also introduced, complete with initialization scripts and updated README documentation, alongside a migration of pyproject.toml to Poetry.
Inventory Tools
Version 15.1.2 of Inventory Tools addresses a bug in the faceted search functionality. Filters were not being correctly processed when passed as route query parameters, which could result in unexpected or missing search results. This fix ensures that filter values derived from URL query parameters are now handled accurately, improving the reliability of search and navigation throughout the application.
